How to make friends with a speaker!
What do/did you love?
Do you even know what you like anymore?
At a restaurant, do you ask, “What are you having?” instead of choosing what youtruly want?
When something sparks your interest, do you push it aside to please someone else?
Do you remember what lit you up as a kid?
What dream did you put on hold?
What passion got shelved because it wasn’t “practical”?
That was then and this is now.
Are you ready to challenge that old story?
I did—and I’m having a blast creating new memories and living out dreams I used to only imagine. (94-second video) https://youtube.com/shorts/cHzry8DFCiY?feature=share

The Things You Can Only See When You Slow Down - Haemin Sunim This seemed like an appropriate summer read! The takeaways reinforce what we already know...
Slow down – Clarity and peace come when we pause and breathe.
Be kind to yourself – Self-compassion leads to better connections.
Rest is powerful – Creativity and growth often emerge during quiet breaks, not just in busyness.

How to make friends with a speaker!
Kudos to the Parks, Recreation & Culture Department! I thought bringing in a speaker (especially me - ) to help your team improve the quality of their lives was a great idea for a staff appreciation event! (Pictured above)
BTW, if you ever want to do a speaker a favour, sit in the front row - I guarantee you will be appreciated, can ask for pretty much anything you want and definitely will not be picked on! #SpeakersLoveFrontRowPeople
