I'm a pro at being last, but if you're the type who likes to win, let me prove that you can be last and still come out on top!

Try being last to:

Hang up – you know when there’s a last-minute "Wait!" or a sweet final word.

Let go of a hug – sometimes the other person just needs that extra moment of comfort.

Leave a great party – sticking around to help the host clean up can be a bonus for both of you, plus, you might catch some behind-the-scenes fun.

Finish your meal – savor the flavors and the conversation. Put your fork down between bites and see if you can still have food on your plate when everyone else is done.

Leave the movie theater – stay and watch the credits roll, enjoy, and let the crowd go ahead of you. You might just be rewarded with some surprise footage or bloopers!

Get out of your comfy bed on a lazy day – in our house, the last one out makes it. It’s a small price to pay for a little extra cozy time.

Step off the dance floor – if you love dancing, don’t rush off! Stay out there and enjoy every last beat.

Stop clapping – after a great performance, let your applause linger. Show the performers they truly earned it.

What about you?  What do you enjoy being last at?

Try on the ideas you like and see if you can come in last and win, too!

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream, Steph ‍
